As a senior (2015): Finished the season with a 3.49 ERA, 176 strikeouts, 19 wins, and five saves over 217.1 innings pitched…Pitched a complete game vs. Lafayette (2/7), allowing two hits, no runs over 7.0 innings while striking out nine and walking one…Pitched a shutout against Drexel (2/13) across 7.0 innings with 10 strikeouts, no walks, and no runs allowed…Pitched 6.0 innings against Tulsa (2/14), striking out eight and allowing one earned run to earn the win…Held BYU (2/19) scoreless through 5.2 innings of relief with five strikeouts and no walks…Against Nevada (2/20), struck out nine in 5.0 no-hit innings…Earned a win over Fordham (2/27), pitching 6.2 innings, allowing one earned run with two strikeouts and one walk…Struck out two and allowed two earned runs over 6.0 innings against #15 UCF (3/3)…Pitched 5.0 scoreless innings against Iowa (3/22), allowing two hits, no runs, one walk, and two strikeouts…Earned a win over Indiana (4/4), allowing two earned runs in a complete-game 7.0-inning effort with eight strikeouts…Had three strikeouts, allowing no earned runs in 7.0 innings against #4 Michigan (4/26).

As a junior (2014): Pitched in team-high 36 games, making 19 starts (six complete games)...led pitching staff in innings (130.1) and strikeouts (88)...had a 4.49 ERA in conference action...made first start of season at FIU (2/8)...struck out seven batters and allowed zero runs in 4.2 innings of relief work versus Jacksonville (2/9)...posted six strikeouts in 4.1 innings of relief against Long Island...held #13 Stanford hitless in 3.0 innings of relief...pitched 1.2 innings of clean relief work in game two against Georgia Tech (3/15)...picked up the win in game two at North Carolina (3/22), pitching 2.0 innings of scoreless ball...allowed just one run in 2.2 innings in game three at #8 Florida State (4/6)...had an excellent weekend at Boston College (4/12-13), allowing just six earned in 16.2 innings and striking out 12 batters...pitched second consecutive complete game against Delaware State (4/16), allowing one earned run in 5.0 innings......allowed two runs in a complete game loss against Virginia Tech (4/19)...gave up zero runs in 4.0 innings against VT (4/20)...dealt a complete game shutout in game one against Pitt (5/3).

As a sophomore (2013): Made 40 pitching appearances, starting a team-high 28…led team in wins (14), shutouts (3), ERA (3.83) and strikeouts (125)…allowed two earned runs in complete game win versus Fordham (3/1)…did not allow an earned run in back-to-back complete game victories against Boston University (3/15) and Temple (3/16)…also posted 12 strikeouts against Temple…went unbeaten in six consecutive starts from Apr. 13 – Apr. 27…posted 10 strikeouts at Georgia Tech (4/13)…matched season-high with 12 strikeouts in a complete game shutout of Boston College (4/20)…allowed just two earned runs in a seven-inning victory over North Carolina (4/27).

As a freshman (2012): Made 23 appearances in the circle and started 14 games for 79.0 innings....pitched six complete games...racked up 60 strikeouts, including nine vs. Long Island (Feb. 17) and Bryant (March 16)...allowed one hit in 7.0 innings at Florida Atlantic (Feb. 18)...held No. 1 Alabama to one hit and one earned run, picking up two strikeouts in 2.1 innings in the circle (March 3)...allowed 52 earned runs...batters hit .286 against her...named to All-ACC Academic Team.

Before Maryland: Played four years on varsity at Northern High School...only pitcher in Maryland high school softball history to win four championship games...named the 2011 Washington Post All-Met Player of the Year...in 2011, she led her Northern team to a perfect 22-0 record and did not allow an earned run in 111 innings...struck out 241 and allowed just 16 hits in that stretch...recorded eight no-hitters, including four perfect games, in her senior year...hit .541 at the plate with three home runs and 47 RBI as well... named to the Washington Post's All-Met Second Team in 2010 and Honorable Mention team in 2009...prior to her senior season, was one of only three athletes in MPSSAA history to record shutouts in five postseason games over her career and was one of just seven pitchers in the MPSSAA to have led her team to three state championships...played for the Severna Park Green Hornets.

Personal: Parents are Harold and Laurie Schmeiser...has a sister, Lindsey, who plays softball at Maryland, and a brother, Alec...nickname is KK...Member of National Honors Society...earned Superintendent's Scholastic Recognition Award (2009-10)...recipient of AP Scholar Award (2010), Calvert County Outstanding Youth Award (2010)...Honor Roll and High Honors student...SMAC All-Academic team (2008, 09, 10)...editor of school paper...chose Maryland because she has been a fan her whole life and she's excited about the growth of the program.
