As a Freshman (2005): Came in 23rd overall in his collegiate debut at the Great Meadows Invitational (22:13.0) ... finished 35th at the Great American Cross Country Festival, crossing in 26:03.30 ... set a new 8K PR at the ACC Championship game, finishing in 25:47.20 (68th place).
Before Maryland: Lettered in cross country at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. ... split 2:01 in the 800 meters, and ran 4:07 in the 1500 and a 9:38 in the 3200 as a prep.
