As a Freshman (2018-19): Grabbed 6 rebounds with a bucket and a steal in Maryland debut vs. Coppin State (11/9)...added 2 buckets, 3 boards and a block vs. GW (11/14)...went 2-2 from the floor for 5 points with a steal vs. UMBC (12/2)...subbed in and notched a block, a bucket and a rebound vs. Wisconsin (1/31)...went 1-for-2 at the foul line vs. Northwestern (2/7)...checked in and grabbed a rebound and a putback vs. Nebraska (2/14)...grabbed a rebound and played 5 minutes vs. Illinois (3/2)...grabbed a rebound in Big Ten Tournament debut (3/8)...played a clutch 6 minutes in the Big Ten Championship game with 2 buckets and 4 rebounds (3/10)...added a bucket with 3 boards in NCAA First Round win (3/23).

Before Maryland: Ranked No. 26 by All Star Girls Report, No. 33 overall player and No. 5 Post by ESPN, and No. 50 by Prospect Nation… named WBCA High School All-America Honorable Mention and a McDonalds All-American nominee…named to USA Today All-New York First Team...averaged 20.6 points and 12.3 rebounds as a junior…named MVP of her Niskayuna team in her junior season…scored 42 points in a game last season, which set a conference record for boys and girls.

Personal: Parents are Javan and Vanessa Owens...has four siblings - Tara, Rashad, Daniel and Olivan...brother, Daniel played at Herkimer Community College...did gymnastics and track and field in elementary school and played volleyball freshman year in high school...lists Candace Parker, Kevin Durant, Serena Williams, and Simone Biles as her favorite athletes...prays before every game...chose Maryland because "The coaching staff immediately made me feel like family. I wanted to play for Coach B because she has a character like no other coach I’ve met. I value a lot of the things she values and I agree with how she gets things done. In addition to awesome athletics, I am a student-first athlete. Because of the many majors the University provides as well as the location, I am open to many opportunities, great internships, and jobs after college!"...letters & sciences major.
