Before Maryland: Pitched for St. John's High School...went 5-0 with a 0.44 ERA while striking out more than a batter per inning in 2017...also hit nearly .400 and drove in 17 runs...helped the Pioneers win a Division 1A state Super 8 Championship...also averaged 22 points per game as a basketball player.
