Head coach Brenda Frese
On Maryland's 98-75 victory against Team Concept:
"Just a tremendous overall team win tonight. It says a lot about our team-we put them through a very tough week physically, trying to get ourselves ready and in better shape. It was great to see Kalika [France] one assist away from a triple-double on her second game as a freshman. Each and every player on our team stepped up and did big things for us....It was exciting to see us play unselfish basketball like we did tonight...good things are going to happen."
On Maryland's 88.5% free throw percentage:
"I hope it does nothing but go up in terms of percentages. This group has spent a lot of time in the gym and has been taking a lot of shots. This week our focus was on the free throw line and it was nice to see that pay off."
Freshman guard Kalika France
On her 16-point performance:
"I just wanted to go out there and work hard. We went through a hard week of practice and I wanted to show that that all paid off. I wanted to show Coach [Frese] that I learned something this week and came on strong."

"I've been getting acclimated to Coach Frese's system and gaining chemistry with all my teammates. Tonight we were feeding each other the ball very well and playing unselfish basketball and finishing at the rim...it makes my job a lot easier at the point."
