Maryland's Lynn Scharf Featured In Monday's USA Today

Lynn Scharf says she didn't go to many parties during her time at the University of Maryland.
Considering she was on the soccer team, will complete her degree in three years, is an avid hiker and recently found time to record a folk music CD, she probably got the most out of college anyway.
"There were days when I'd come home from soccer practice, play my guitar and do my homework. Then on weekends I'd try to get out and go backpacking. It's made me extremely busy," says Scharf, who is hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, which runs from the Mexican border all the way to the Canadian line. "That's why I wanted to take this summer off."
