The Red Team held a 12-7 lead early in the fourth quarter, but the White Team went on the march behind redshirt freshman quarterback Chris Turner and Green. The White Team went on a 64-yard, 14-play march, with Turner going 4-for-6 and Green rushing for 20 yards on the drive, setting up a 25-yard field goal by Obi Egekeze that cut the deficit to 12-10 with 4:44 left.
On the Red's first play from scrimmage, Chima Amadi picked off a tipped pass for an interception, setting the White Team up on the Red 35-yard line. From there, transfer quarterback Josh Portis ran for 12 yards and passed to Greg Powell for 11 yards for back-to-back first downs. Green then carried for 5 and 7 yards to get into the end zone and give the White Team the lead.

Dan Ennis hit a 32-yard field goal on the last play of the first half to put the Red Team ahead 3-0. He capped the opening drive of the second half with a 35-yard field goal as the Red Team took a 6-0 lead.
Late in the third quarter, Kevin Barnes put the White Team ahead when he returned an interception 28 yards for a touchdown.
The Red Team regained the lead early in the fourth quarter, though, as Steffy directed the Red Team on a 14-play, 72-yard drive that ended with him finding redshirt freshman Terrell Skinner on a 6-yard touchdown pass with 10:31 remaining in the game. The Red Team's try for two points failed and the lead remained 12-7.
Skinner, also playing for both teams in the scrimmage, finished with five catches for 69 yards. Nolan Carroll had three receptions for 33 yards for the Red Team, while speedster Darrius Heyward-Bey had 49 yards on a pair of receptions.
Freshman linebacker Chris Clinton led the defensive chart with 10 tackles. Moises Fokou and Jamari McCollough each had seven tackles. Dre Moore had two sacks for the Red Team.
