• With the win, the Terrapins improve their record to 20-1 (4-1). It is their third consecutive 20-win season and first time since 1977-80.
• The Terps extend their winning streak at home to 19 games.
• Maryland has now won its last five match ups with the Demon Deacons. It is the first five-game winning streak against Wake Forest since February 13, 1996-February 4, 1998.
• Today's attendance was 10,526. It was the fourth time this season that the crowd has topped 10,000.
• The Terps' 83 points marks the most points given up by Wake Forest on the season. The previous high was 80 against NC State on January 14, 2007.
Ashleigh Newman set a season high with 20 points. She scored 13 straight points for the Terps from the 9:57 mark to the 5:46 mark.
Marissa Coleman tied her season high with 21 points. She also had 21 points in a victory at Loyola on December 21.
• Four Terps scored in double figures for the 17th time in 21 games this season. Besides Newman and Coleman, Kristi Toliver and Shay Doron contributed 10 points each.
• Toliver, who knocked down two 3-pointers, sits just one away from 100 on her career. She is also two behind Terri Daniels (101 from 2000-2003) for fifth place on the Maryland all-time list.
• Doron dished out one assist, moving her into a tie for tenth place on the Maryland all-time list with Sonia Chase (1995-98). Both have 371 assists.
Crystal Langhorne moved into seventh place on the Maryland all-time scoring list. She passed Deedee Warley, who scored 1,512 from 1999-2002, and now has 1,516.
• For the first time since January 2, 2006 against Manhattan, Langhorne failed to score 10 points. It was a streak of 44 consecutive games.
Aurelie Noirez pulled down a season-high 7 rebounds.
