Former Maryland Player Vicky Bullett (1986-1989)

On having her career-points record broken:
"I'm glad I had the opportunity to be here, it is a golden moment. Congratulations to Crystal, she was determined and she's still moving. She didn't just break the record, she's going to blow it out of the water. Records are made to be broken and you just pass it down and the great thing is that it stays in the Maryland family."

On Crystal Langhorne:
"I'm so proud of her, it took so much to reach that peak and it just shows her work ethic that she was able to get there. You have to reach out and say congratulations. I don't know how important it is to her, but it is so important for her team because she didn't get there on her own, credit goes to her teammates for giving her that push, as well."

On the fans:
"I think there is a difference in the student body, the fact that the fan base for these girls has reached the peak that it has is so good to see. We didn't have that, we just played and you couldn't tell if we enjoyed it, there wasn't that adrenaline or that fire that these kids have, and their fan base is part of the reason that they have it."

Maryland head coach Brenda Frese
On today's game:
"This was just a gritty, gritty win by our team. Georgia Tech, as you can see, is extremely talented. They came in here and played a really hard-fought game and actually made us better today. I'm very, very proud of this team in terms of keeping our composure down the stretch in regulation, the first overtime, the second overtime and just executing the game plan the way we wanted to perform it and for stepping up and making free throws at the end. I thought our defense and our free-throw shooting were really key to get done what we wanted to get accomplished."

On senior Laura Harper's performance:
"Laura was huge and obviously her will to win and with her just being so strong and physical down low on the block was what we needed because they were obviously extremely physical. She was big on the boards with 20 rebounds."

Maryland junior Marissa Coleman
On emotions of a double-overtime game:
"It was a very emotional game, especially with the crowd. The crowd kept us in the game. Whenever we play Georgia Tech it's going to be a tough game, especially with them beating us last year. We just wanted to come out with a lot of energy. We knew it was going to be tough and we fought through it as a team and we stayed composed."

Maryland senior Crystal Langhorne
On playing Georgia Tech:
"They play a very scrappy, aggressive defense and I think that kind of gets in to us a little bit. That's probably our biggest problem with Georgia Tech."

Maryland senior Laura Harper
On her performance:
"I didn't know I had 20 rebounds, but I knew I missed a big one when they hit the 3-pointer at the end of regulation. Now, after we won and the game's over, it feels kind of nice."

Georgia Tech Head Coach MaChelle Joseph

Opening statement:
"I feel like both teams competed their hearts out today, it was a great battle and it was a great game for the ACC. Maryland played a great game and played tough. This game shows why Crystal Langhorne is an All-American, I've said it before and I'll say it again...she's the best post player in America. I give my kids a lot of credit, especially my freshmen, they played their hearts out and made some great plays when they needed to. It came down to free throws and you can't defend free throws. We built this program on defense and rebounding and it's hard to overcome that in games when we foul as much as we did today."

On Georgia Tech forward Janie Mitchell:
"We were running something different and Janie stepped out and shot the three when she has only made two all year. Big time players make big time plays. I'm sure they were as surprised by it as much as we were, that's not really her shot and not a play we would have called. Just like Maryland's big time players made plays, Janie Mitchell has been our go-to person all year."

On Maryland guard Kristi Toliver:
"She is the catalyst for that team, she is definitely the head on that body and as she goes they go a lot of the time. If she can make big plays against our press then we were going to be in for a long night."

On Maryland forward Marissa Coleman:
"She fills up a stat sheet and the thing about her is that she has ice in her veins. She is a tough competitor and wants the ball in critical situations, she wants to take the big shot and those are the types of players you dream about coaching and have nightmares about playing against."

On Maryland forward Laura Harper:
"She was the x-factor, she was major. Watching her on film you can see that her game has improved, I think she is the team's most improved player on the defensive end. She struggled against Virginia a little bit, but bounced back tonight and had a terrific game."
