Maryland's 99-95 double-overtime victory was its first overtime game of the season and the program's first since the 2006 national championship victory against Duke.
It was Maryland's first double-overtime game since Feb. 23, 1994, a two-point loss to Virginia at Cole Field House.
The Terps have won eight straight overtime games going back to the 2004-2005 season. Maryland's last overtime loss came Jan. 16, 2005 at Florida State.
The last overtime game at Comcast Center was Feb. 1, 2003 against NC State, a two-point Maryland win.
Senior Crystal Langhorne scored a season-high 31 points. It was the sixth 30-point game of her career and first of the season.
Senior Laura Harper recorded a career-high 20 rebounds and scored 24 points, as well. It was only the fourth 20-rebound and 20-point performance in Maryland history since 1980. The last to do it was Langhorne, who had 29 points and 22 rebounds on Feb. 17, 2005 at Miami.
Langhorne broke Maryland's all-time record for games started, starting her 120th game. She broke Shay Doron's (2004-07) mark of 119.
Langhorne recorded her second straight double-double and eighth of the season with her 31 points and 15 rebounds. It was the 52nd double-double of her career.
Langhorne's 31 points moved her up to 16th on the ACC Career Points List for a total of 1,975.
Langhorne now has 1,102 career rebounds.
Harper recorded her 17th double-double of her career and sixth of the season.
It was the 19th time in 23 games the Terps have had a player register a double-double. It was the eighth time more than one player has recorded a double-double in the same game this year.
Harper had a season-high four blocked shots and is now only four short of the school's all-time record.
Junior Marissa Coleman scored 24 points, her seventh 20-point game this season.
Coleman tied her season high with six assists.
With Harper, Coleman and Langhorne all scoring more than 20 points, it marked the fifth time this season the Terps have had multiple 20-point scorers in the same game and the first time three players did it in a game this season.
It was the fourth straight game the Terps have had a 20-point scorer.
All five Maryland starters played career highs in minutes, including 49 for Coleman, 48 each for Langhorne and freshman Marah Strickland, 44 for junior Kristi Toliver and 41 for Harper.
Georgia Tech's 41 first-half points are the most the Terps have allowed in the first half of a game this season.
Maryland's 41-39 halftime deficit was only its second of the season, with the last coming Friday at Virginia, where the Cavaliers held a 34-33 lead at the break.
The Terps now lead the all-time series with the Yellow Jackets, 41-16.
