March 14, 2008
COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 2 Maryland women's lacrosse team will look to complete an undefeated home stand when it squares off against No. 17 Dartmouth (3-1) on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. The Terrapins (5-1) are riding a 12-game home winning streak.
The Big Green has won its last three outings after losing its season opener at Syracuse, 18-5. Dartmouth has defeated James Madison, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts during its winning streak. The victories against JMU and UMass came by a single goal.
The Terps are 15-1 all-time against Dartmouth and won last year's meeting, 13-7, in Hanover, N.H. Senior Dana Dobbie scored a career-high seven goals in that game and classmate Allie Buote stopped nine shots.
Maryland will have a day off on Sunday before turning around and playing No. 12 Johns Hopkins on Monday at 4:00 p.m. in Baltimore. The game will be televised nationally by ESPNU.
