Team Records and Series Notes
•Maryland improves to 16-3 while North Carolina falls to 17-3.
•The Terrapins improve to 33-36 all-time against the Tar Heels.
•Maryland returns to action Friday, Jan. 28 at home against Wake Forest at 8:30 p.m. ET.
•The Terps' 23-point win over the Tar Heels was their greatest victory since Feb. 6, 1990, when Maryland topped North Carolina 88-64.

Team Game Notes
•Lineup: Tianna Hawkins, Anjale Barrett, Alyssa Thomas, Lynetta Kizer and Diandra Tchatchouang.
•Key run: The Terps extended their lead to 20 points with 16:02 remaining in the second half after Lynetta Kizer's free-throw capped Maryland's 18-4 run.
•Five Terps broke the 10-point mark in Sunday's game: Alyssa Thomas (16), Diandra Tchatchouang (13), Lynetta Kizer (12), Alicia DeVaughn (12) and Laurin Mincy (10).
•Maryland won the battle on the boards, out-rebounding the Tar Heels, 55-32.
•The Terps recorded 21 assists to North Carolina's 12.

Individual Game Notes
•Freshman Alyssa Thomas led the Terps with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Thomas has now recorded four double-doubles in the past five games.
•Sophomore Diandra Tchatchouang recorded 13 points to go along with six rebounds and a game-high four blocks. •Junior Lynetta Kizer narrowly missed her 25th career double-double. The captain recorded 12 points and nine total rebounds.
•Freshman Alicia DeVaughn came off the bench to score 12 points. The West Palm Beach, Fla., native shot 4 for 4 from the field and also brought in three rebounds.
•Junior Anjale Barrett dished out a career-high 11 assists while also recording eight points and three steals.
