•The Terps fall to 20-5 (7-4 ACC) while the Cavaliers improve to 15-12 (4-7 ACC) on the season.
•Maryland is now 31-43 against Virginia, though the Terps have won nine of their last 13 against the Cavs.
•Heated Rivals: The past four winners in the Maryland-Virginia rivalry have come by only 12 combined points.

•Two Terps broke the 10-point mark Sunday: Alyssa Thomas (14) and Lynetta Kizer (12)
•Key Run: Down late in the first half, the Terps used a six-point swing to tie the game at 23-23 with just 1:04 remaining.
•And-One Comeback: Maryland reclaimed the lead, 28-27, early in the second half thanks to freshman Alicia DeVaughn's under-the-basket shot and accompanying free throw.

Individual Game Notes
•Freshman Alyssa Thomas led the Terps with 14 points on 5 of 8 shooting. The five-time ACC Rookie of the Week also brought down eight rebounds and dished out four assists.
•Junior Lynetta Kizer recorded 12 points and a game-high nine rebounds. Maryland's captain, Kizer recently recorded her 700th career rebound in Thursday's game at Miami.
•Sophomores Tianna Hawkins and Diandra Tchatchouang each recorded six points for the Terps. The duo also combined for 11 total rebounds.
