  • Maryland is now 1-1 all-time against Louisville. Both meetings between the two schools have come in the NCAA Tournament.
  • Maryland is 14-3 in NCAA Tournament games played in College Park.
  • Maryland advances to the Raleigh Region semifinal to face the winner of third-seeded Texas A&M and sixth-seeded Arkansas on Sunday, March 25.

  • Brene Moseley led the team with five assists and added five points.
  • All Mincy: Laurin Mincy scored a game-high 24 points, one shy of her career high, including 14 points in the first half. All of her first-half points came during the Terps' 23-12 run to end the half.
  • Double Up: Tianna Hawkins recorded her team-leading 12th double-double of the season by scoring 15 points and grabbing a game-high 14 rebounds. Hawkins was the only player who registered double-digit rebounds.

  • Starting Lineup: Becky Burke, Shoni Schimmel, Bria Smith, Asia Taylor, Sheronn Vails
  • Eight different players scored for the Cardinals.
  • Three Cardinals scored in double digits, led by Shoni Schimmel's 22 points.
  • Louisville used five players off its bench to score 21 points.
  • Louisville scored more than half its points in the paint. The Cardinals tallied 36 points to the Terps' 26.
  • Quick Start: The Cardinals opened the game on a 6-0 run and held Maryland scoreless for the first 3:04.

    Louisville Individual Game Notes

  • Bria Smith tallied 12 points and was a perfect 4 for 4 from the free throw line.
  • Shawnta Dyer came off the bench to finish with 17 points.
  • Schimmel Spurt: Schimmel scored 22 points, three shy of her season high, on 8 for 25 shooting. She scored seven points during Louisville's 9-0 run midway through the first half to increase the Cardinals' lead to 17-8.
