General Information

Prohibited in SECU Stadium

The Big Ten promotes good sportsmanship by student-athletes, coaches and spectators. We request your cooperation in helping to maintain a family-friendly environment for fans of all ages, and in supporting the student-athletes, coaches and officials in a positive manner. Profanity or actions to incite, intimidate or threaten others will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the site of competition. The list of items and/or activities prohibited during athletic competitions and events include but are not limited to:
  • Artificial Noisemakers
  • Backpacks / Bags that are not clear and over 12" x 6" x 12". Please refer to Bag Policy for more information.
  • Dangerous or Disruptive Behavior
  • Fireworks / Firearms
  • Flammables of any kind
  • Illegal Substances
  • Laser Pointers
  • Outside Food or Drink of any kind*
  • Pass-Outs / Re-Entry
  • Pets*
  • Resale of Ticket
  • Sign Poles or Sign Sticks
  • Signage, Apparel or other Items that display, depict or represent recognizable symbols and/or words, including nooses and swastikas, that incite, intimidate, or threaten members of the University of Maryland community.
  • Smoking 
  • Soliciting / Loitering / Trespassing
  • Skateboards / Bicycles   
  • Strollers (except for Little Terps, Big Cheers purchasers)
  • Umbrellas
  • Video Cameras
  • Weapons (both real and facsimiles)
  • Any other items or actions deemed dangerous or disruptive to the fan experience
*Exceptions will be made for those with medical requirements and/or special needs.

FROM BALTIMORE (AND NORTH):
  • Take I-95 South to exit 25B, College Park/U.S. Route 1 South.
  • After approximately one mile, take a right-hand exit off of U.S. 1 and onto Route 193 West.
  • Go two traffic lights to Stadium Drive.
  • Make a left onto Stadium Drive.
  • SECU Stadium is directly in front of you.
FROM BALTIMORE/WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (BWI):
  • Take I-195 West to I-95 South.
  • Travel to exit 25B, College Park/U.S. Route 1 South.
  • After approximately one mile, take a right-hand exit off of U.S. 1 and onto Route 193 West.
  • Go two traffic lights to Stadium Drive.
  • Make a left onto Stadium Drive.
  • SECU Stadium is directly in front of you.
FROM REAGAN NATIONAL AIRPORT (DCA):
  • Take I-395 North until it terminates at New York Ave.
  • Make a right onto New York Ave., and exit at Maryland Route 295 North (Baltimore/ Washington Parkway).
  • Exit at Maryland Route 193 West (Greenbelt Road) and follow straight for three miles to Stadium Drive.
  • Make a left onto Stadium Drive.
FROM DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (IAD):
  • Dulles Toll Road to I-495 West. Take 495 West (Washington Beltway) for approximately 25 minutes to exit 25B.
  • Take the above directions (Baltimore and points north listing) to SECU Stadium.
FROM WASHINGTON, D.C. (NORTHWEST/SOUTHWEST)
  • Take 16th St. North which becomes Georgia Avenue North at the Maryland/D.C. line.
  • Go East on I-495 toward Baltimore.
  • Take Exit 25B (U.S. 1 South toward College Park).
  • After approximately one mile, take a right-hand exit off of U.S. 1 and onto Route 193 West.
  • Go two traffic lights to Stadium Drive.
  • Make a left onto Stadium Drive.
  • SECU Stadium is directly in front of you.
FROM WASHINGTON, D.C. (NORTHEAST/SOUTHEAST)
  • Take Rhode Island Avenue (U.S. 1 North) which becomes Baltimore Avenue North at the Maryland/D.C. line.
  • Use the left 2 lanes to turn onto MD-410 W.
  • Turn right onto Adelphi Road.
  • Take a slight right onto University Boulevard E.
  • Turn right onto Stadium Drive.
  • SECU Stadium is directly in front of you.
ALTERNATE ROUTE FROM MONTGOMERY COUNTY, NORTHERN VIRGINIA AND POINTS WEST:
  • Take exit 28 from the Beltway (MD 650-New Hampshire Ave.) south to Adelphi Rd.
  • Make a left on Adelphi and follow to MD 193.
  • Make a left on MD 193 and follow the signs to the events.
