  • Finished season with a .257 batting average (54-for-210), with 12 doubles, seven home runs, and 33 RBI.
  • Finished career with 118 walks, which is the third-most in program history.
  • Reach the program's top ten list for career runs scored with 146.
  • Had 73 career extra base hits at Maryland, which is the 10th-most in program history.

  • Hit a 2-run homer to help defeat Penn State (4/3).
  • Went 3-4 with 3 RBIs against Ohio State (4/17).
  • Went 2-5 with 2 RBIs and a homer against Illinois (4/23).
  • Recorded a home run to help defeat Navy (4/26).
  • Homered in three straight games against Rutgers and Michigan (5/8-5/13).
  • Collected two hits in two games against Purdue (5/19-5/20).
  • Homered in Big Ten Tournament game against Michigan (5/27).
  • Hit two home runs over four games in the College Park Regional.


As a Freshman (2021):

  • Played in 17 games with 12 starts at second base .... scored a run in his debut vs. Michigan State (3/6) … got his first career hit and stolen base against Penn State (3/21) …  had a pair of singles and scored a run at Iowa (4/23) … drove in two runs against Minnesota (4/30) … singled and drew a pair of walks against Minnesota (5/2) … saw action at shortstop after pinch hitting in the NCAA Tournament elimination game against Norfolk State (6/5)


Before Maryland:

  • Starred at Caravel Academy.
  • Helped lead the Buccaneers to a state championship in 2017 and runner-up finishes in 2018 and 2019.
  • Named second team All-State in 2019.
  • Gatorade Delaware Player of the Year finalist in 2020.
  • Second-ranked shortstop prospect in the state of Delaware per Perfect Game.
  • Ranked the No. 4 overall player in the state of Delaware per Perfect Game.
  • Earned third team All-State honors in basketball in 2019 and 2020
  • Son of Tripp Keister and Maureen Barry.
  • Father, Tripp is a minor league manager in the Nationals’ organization and played college baseball at Delaware.
  • Has two sisters, Madison and Kristin.
  • Earned a 3.5 GPA at Caravel.
  • Chose the jersey number eight because it has been his favorite number for a long time
