Before Maryland: Transer student from the University of Amsterdam who is in College Park for the fall 2014 semester...played for hometown club team, Gooische from age seven to 17...at the age of 14, team came in fourth in the national championships...in regionals, team won three field hockey titles and indoor titles... transferred to Naarden, where here team won competitions in both field and indoor hockey...most recently played for the club, Athena, which is near Amsterdam.
Personal: Anne-Floor Jansen van Galen...parents are Peter Jansen van Galen and Annick Martens...has one brother, Bart...came to Maryland because out of all of the exchange partners offered, Maryland offered the most excititing and challenging courses, the beautiful campus and the field hockey team...psychology and international law major...wants to pursue an academic research career in forensic psychology..
