At Auburn High School: A three-star recruit by ESPN … ranked the 46th best player in the state of Alabama by ESPN … caught 18 passes for 348 yards (19.3 yards/catch) and two touchdowns as a senior … chose Maryland over Auburn and Memphis … coached by Adam Winegarden.
Personal: Parents are Craig and Julie Barnes … sports heroes include Heath Miller and Troy Polamalu … came to Maryland for “the family, academics and Big Ten football” … also recruited by Troy, Samford, Memphis, Jacksonville State and Arkansas State … career aspirations include becoming a doctor.
