Richard Rosado is entering his first season at the University of Maryland in 2020, serving as Coordinator of Sports Sciences and Analytics for the Terps.
He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a certified Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting and is also a member of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning
Coaches Association.
Rosado, a native of Puerto Rico, came to College Park following seven seasons at Florida State under two different head coaches, one of which where he won a National Championship (2013).
He served as the Director of Sport Sciences and Analytics from 2017-2020 after serving as Assistant Director of Sport Sciences from 2013-2016 and stepping in as Interim Assistant Strength Coach with the Noles’ strength staff in 2014, 2016 and 2018.
While at Florida State, he was responsible for optimizing player readiness and performance through load management as well as implementing, analyzing and interpreting all technology used with the FSU Football team, including Catapult GPS system, Polar Heart Rate Monitors, Motus QB, DARI Motion Capture, GymAware and EliteForm.
Rosado earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Sacred Heart in 2012. Rosado is married to the former Brittany Mohney of Mercer, PA.
