Tim Ahner enters his 24th year with the University of Maryland athletic department, having joined the Terrapins as an equipment manager in August 2003.
In his current role, Ahner serves as the primary equipment contact for the men’s soccer, men’s lacrosse, and tennis teams. He also provides critical equipment operations support for women's soccer, baseball, cross country, men's outdoor track and field, and women's outdoor track and field.
Prior to his long-standing tenure at Maryland, Ahner managed equipment operations for Olympic sports during stints at Northwestern University and the University of Dayton. A native of Trotwood, Ohio, Ahner earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Wright State University in 1997.
