Katelyn Engen joined University of Maryland as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in 2018 and in 2021, began working with the men’s soccer program. From 2018 to 2021, she was the athletic trainer for the track & field and cross country programs.
Before coming to Maryland, Engen spent two years working at Yale University, where she worked with the men’s soccer, women’s lacrosse and men’s & women’s tennis teams.
Engen graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training in 2016. While at UD, Engen worked with the Blue Hen football, men’s
basketball and cross country programs. She received her master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Maryland, Global Campus in 2020.
She has been a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA) since 2015, is Graston Technique Certified, and is currently CPR/AED certified.
A native of Kensington, MD, Katelyn and her husband reside in Washington, D.C.
