Mobolaji Adeokun (BJ) will join the Terrapin staff for the 2019-20 season as an assistant track coach assisting with administrative and coaching responsibilities.
Head Coach, Andrew Valmon, welcomed her to the program stating, “I am looking forward to having BJ’s assistance this year with our program. She will be a great resource for our student-athletes and her achievements and experiences make her a strong role model.”
Although Mobolaji is originally from the DMV area, she received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from The University of Texas at Austin. She was a standout high school athlete in the hurdles while attending Duval high school in Lanham, Maryland. She went on to earn All-American honors in the 100m hurdles during her stellar collegiate career at Texas.
Following her graduation from Texas in 2016, Mobolaji traveled abroad to compete in Europe. During this time she also earned a masters degree in sports management from the University of East London, United Kingdom in 2018.
Most recently, Mobolaji was the hurdles and jumps coach at Holton-Arms School for the spring 2019 season.
