Head coach Brenda Frese hired Audrey Cunningham as the coordinator of recruiting operations in the spring of 2015. Cunningham spent the 2014-15 Final Four season with the Terrapins assisting in day-to-day operations.

Cunningham’s primary responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, communications and travel for recruiting.

“Audrey has already proven to us how hard she’ll work for our program,” head coach Brenda Frese said. “She does a really nice job and it’s great to see her growing into a new role. She grew up in the area and played the game, so she knows Maryland. She brings a lot of energy and youthful enthusiasm, which is always welcome.”

Cunningham graduated cum laude from the University of New Haven with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in sports management in 2014. She played basketball for four years and helped the Chargers to a berth in the NCAA Division II Tournament in her senior season. Following the 2013-14 season, Cunningham finished her career ranked fifth in three-point field goals with a career total of 102 in 80 games.

Cunningham went to Seneca Valley High School in Germantown, Md. She was named to the Washington Post All-Montgomery County First Team and Montgomery County Gazette First Team in 2010. In her senior season, she helped lead her team to a state championship and an undefeated season.
