Fall 2005: Played in one tournament in her first semester as a collegian, competing as an individual at the Wolverine Invitational... Tied for 35th with rounds of 89-83-81--253.
Before Maryland: Two-time Pennsylvania State individual champion while competing for Westmont Hilltop HS in Johnstown... In Fall 2004, finished the state tournament with a two-day score of 75-81--156... Shot 76-76--152 on same Springwood GC track in York to win state individual title as a junior... Qualified three times for the USGA Girls Junior Championships... Had one AJGA top-5 finish and two top-10 placings... Participated in junior world and AJGA Rolex Tourneys... Wendy's High School Heisman finalist in 2005... Winner of Most Outstanding Athlete Award as a senior... Also competed in basketball and track and field... Member of National Honor Society... Recipient of Academic Letter and Academic Achievement Award.
Personal: Parents are John and Mary Lu Lovette... Has two older brothers and an older sister... Enjoys dance and shopping... Selected Maryland over Kentucky, North Carolina and Michigan State... Came to Maryland because it "is a great academic university as well as one that thrives in athletics... Lists Sam Snead as her favorite athlete due to his 81 U.S. Tour victories between 1936 and 1965... Hoping for a career in law.
