As a Freshman (2012):
- Competed on beam and floor in 13 meets, and vault in 12 meets
- Named to the All-EAGL beam second team
- Earned EAGL All-Tournament second team honors on beam after tying for 10th at the EAGL Championships
- Earned Rookie of the Year honors and won the Dynamite Beam Award at the team banquet
- Placed 13th on beam at the NCAA Fayetteville Regional
- Earned EAGL Rookie of the Week honors for Jan. 24, after winning her first career gold medal on beam against Alaska and Bridgeport (1/20)...scored a career-high 9.850 on beam at Florida (1/27)
- Recorded a personal-best 9.825 on floor at the EAGL Championships...named to the EAGL All-Academic team.
Before Maryland:
- Competed for ENA Paramus Gymnastics in Paramus, N.J., for 11 years
- Placed ninth in the all-around at the 2011 Level 10 nationals, and placed sixth on the beam
- 2011 New Jersey state vault champion, placed second in the all-around
- 2010 Level 10 New Jersey state beam champion, and AA silver medalist
- Level 10 national qualifier in 2009...won the bronze medal for the beam and the floor at the 2009 Level 10 regionals.
Personal:
- Daughter of Paul and June Giameo
- Has one sister, Jaclyn, a tennis player at Rider University, and one brother, Anthony
- Chose Maryland over Michigan, Rutgers, Cornell, Brown and the Air Force Academy
