Kevin Cardoza joined the Maryland staff in May 2015 as a volunteer assistant coach. Cardoza spent the previous three seasons as an assistant coach at the New York Institute of Technology on Long Island.

Cardoza coached at the Division II level for four years, spending one season at Concordia College before moving to NYIT. During his tenure at the New York Institute of Technology, Cardoza was instrumental in developing a program that posted a 62-35 record and two appearances in the NCAA Tournament.

Cardoza spent four seasons coaching club volleyball at LIVBC and the Long Island Volleyball Academy. His teams received three bids to compete in the USAV Junior National Championship Tournament and one GEVA regional championship. Cardoza is currently a coach for the Metro Volleyball Club.

Cardoza earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from NYIT in 2011.
