University of Maryland Athletics

Hunter Dortenzo joined the Maryland athletics department in January 2019 as a Media Relations Assistant. Currently, Dortenzo serves as the primary communications contact for the volleyball, wrestling and baseball teams. He has also worked with the softball, track & field and cross country programs in his time at Maryland.

Before joining Maryland full-time, Dortenzo interned in the Maryland Media Relations office as an undergrad and also spent time with the Washington Redskins and the Ivy League conference office in communications roles.

A native of Ocean City, Md., Dortenzo graduated from the University of Maryland in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in communication.
