Biography

2022-23 (REDSHIRT SENIOR): 
  • Wrestled in four dual matches.
  • Competed in 2022 Tiger Style Invite and 2023 Southern Scuffle.
  • Went 7-8 overall.

2021-22 (REDSHIRT JUNIOR):
  • Earned two consecutive dual victories on February 18th and 19th against Columbia and American respectively, including a pin of American's Antonio Segura.
  • Went 4-1 at the 2022 Edinboro Open.

2020-21 (REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE):
  • Wrestled in five matches, competing in three duals at 157 and 149 pounds.
  • Wrestled against Michigan (1/10). 
  • In the lineup vs. Michigan State and Minnesota (1/16). 
  • Picked up his first win of the season with a fall over Indiana’s Jonathan Moran (2/14). 
  • Wrestled at Penn State (2/22).

2019-20 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): 
  • Posted a 14-12 record wrestling at 157 pounds.
  • Ranked fifth on the team in wins, second in technical falls (2), and third in major decisions (3).
  • Was Maryland’s starter at 157 pounds in 9 of 19 dual matches.
  • Went 3-2 at the Southeast Open to start his season (11/3).
  • Earned first place at the American Round Robin, winning all three of his matches by bonus points (11/9).
  • Earned a win over Bloomsburg’s Alex Carida at the Black Knight Invite (11/17).
  • Went 5-1 at the F&M Open, earning sixth place (1/4).
  • Earned his first career dual win with a fall over Kent State’s Conan Becker at the Virginia Duals (1/11).
  • Beat Rider’s Travis Layton by fall to close the season (2/22)

2018-19 (FRESHMAN):
  • Won 15 matches while serving a redshirt year and wrestling in open competition.
  • Team-best four wins by technical fall.
  • Third-most wins by fall with three.
  • Won a pair of matches, including a fall in less than a minute to begin collegiate career at ESU Open (11/10).
  • Won a pair of matches by decision at the Patriot Open (12/9).
  • Posted back-to-back wins by fall at the Shorty Hitchcock Open (1/12).
  • 3-1 record at the Messiah Open including a pair of wins by technical fall (2/2).
  • Three wins at the National Collegiate Open including a 21-6 tech. over Clarion's Lavinsky Collins (3/2). 

Before Maryland: 
  • Three-time Massachusetts state champion and a three-time New England place-winner (finished 2nd, 3rd, 1st).
  • Three-time NHSCA All-American after placing sixth, seventh and eighth.
  • Four-time Massachusetts sectional champion.
  • Finished high school with a record of 173-20.
  • Massachusetts Dave Schultz Excellence Award recipient.
