Meghan Kane

Meghan Kane is in her third season as Maryland's Director of Baseball Operations after being named to the position by head coach Rob Vaughn in January of 2018.

Her duties include arranging all aspects of team travel and assisting with fundraising efforts, most notably Maryland’s annual Golf Tournament and Lead-off Banquet. Kane was instrumental in the organization of the Terps' 2019 Lead-Off Banquet, which featured a six player alumni panel for the first time, along with an Annapolis based fundraising event, the Soirée on the Bay. Kane also coordinates Maryland's on-campus recruiting efforts, which helped Maryland secure the seventh-best class in the nation in 2020, the best ranking in school history.

From 2015-17, Kane worked in the Maryland baseball office as a student operations intern. Kane also worked with Maryland’s Intercollegiate Athletics staff as a business office student assistant and worked for the minor league Frederick Keys as a marketing and business intern.

A Frederick, native, Kane graduated in the winter of 2017 from with a Bachelor’s degrees in finance and economics with a statistics minor. In Spring 2018, Kane completed a Bachelor's degree in operations management and business analytics from the Robert H Smith School of Business. Kane was a member of the University Honors College. She is now pursuing a masters degree in Sports Management from the University of Florida.Â
