MARYLAND HEAD COACH GARY WILLIAMS
"Offensively, the thing that pleased me the most was our passing. I thought we really looked well for each other. I don't think there was any time that we looked selfish and for this time of year, guys sometimes don't see people who are open. Today, for November third, we were really looking well (for passing).
"Defensively, we played hard and made some mistakes. We're not use to a team shooting from that far out-they have the international (three-point) line, which is another 10 inches past the college line. They were shooting very well from there and we had to adjust to that."
"Rebounding wise, we established ourselves in the first half. We're a big team this year and we have to take advantage of our size."
"Offensively, we have a chance to be a good shooting team. Tonight, we found the guys who could shoot the ball when they are open."
"Drew Nicholas is certainly a very good shooter. The thing that Drew has to do when he is open is shoot (the basketball). He's got a green light when he is open. In the first half, he was nervous and he wasn't really looking for his shot so I told him to shoot."
"We're are own team this year. We have a bunch of guys dedicated that we can be a good team this year."
