Coach Williams Comments On The Second Exhibition Game

Nov. 9, 1999

Box Score

Maryland Head Coach Gary Williams:

"One of the things that we learned from this game is that the offense starts from the inside out. We have to look to go inside - we shot well from the outside the other night, but the shooting won't always be there."

"One thing that I liked tonight is that we really dug in. I didn't see one person quit out there, I thought we responded well."

"This was a good team with a lot of good former players."

On Terence Morris: "They told me at the end that Terence scored 34 points and had 20 rebounds. Terence is the kind of player who is so smooth and does so many things so quickly that you have to check his stats at the end to see just how well he did."

On MikeMardesich: "Mike Mardesich is playing really well and with a lot of confidence. When you are seven feet tall and 250 pounds, sometimes you just have to take it to the basket."

On Juan Dixon: "(Juan) had some big rebounds down the stretch. He's one of those players that you need in the game at the end. He is one of the best competitors and is one of the true team leaders as a sophomore."
