
Terps' Morris Named ACC Men's Basketball Player Of The Week

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Junior All-American Terence Morris (Frederick, Md.), who averaged a double-double of 20.5 points and 11.5 rebounds as Maryland won two games last week, was named the Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball player of the week it was announced by the league office.
Morris recorded his first double-double of the season with 19 points and 14 rebounds as Maryland defeated Winthrop. He played a career-high 43 minutes and scored 13 points in the second half and the overtime period as the Terps defeated the Eagles, 76-65.
He then recorded a near double-double of 22 points and nine rebounds as the Terps defeated No. 22 Kentucky, 72-66. He scored Maryland's first seven points against the Wildcats and the Terps never trailed in the game. He was a perfect three-for-three from the 3-point line during the game.
Morris and the Terps are ranked 14th in this week's ESPN/USA Today Poll and 16th in the Associated Press poll. The rankings are the highest of the season Maryland.
