Faehn-Tetreault Named Northeast Region Assistant Coach of the Year

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The University of Maryland's Rhonda Faehn-Tetreault has been selected as the Northeast Region Assistant Coach of the Year as announced by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches for Women.

The award speaks highly of the respect and support Faehn-Tetreault has from her peers as it is voted on by the membership of the organization.

Faehn-Tetreault completed her second season at Maryland. Prior to joining the Maryland staff, Faehn-Tetreault served as the head coach of Lanco Gymnastics Training Center in Lancaster, Pa. Faehn-Tetreault also assisted the women's gymnastics program at UCLA for two seasons under Valorie Kondos.

Originally from Coon Rapids, Minn., she was a member of the 1988 Olympic team and has previously trained under the world famous coach Bela Karolyi.

Faehn-Tetreault is a 1994 graduate of UCLA with a B.A. in history, and is married to Craig Tetreault, the head coach at Rebounder's Gymnastics Club in Timonium.
