Baseball Squad Falls to No. 12 Auburn

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland baseball team was defeated by No. 12 Auburn 15-0 on Sunday in the final day of the ACC-Disney Blast in Orlando, Fla. The Tigers improved to 3-0 while the Terps fell to 0-3 on the season.
Auburn jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one inning as it tagged Maryland starter Jamie Hammond with five straight singles. The closest Maryland came to scoring was when it left the bases loaded in the third inning.
For Maryland, senior outfielder Eric Beer and sophomore third baseman Mike D'Archangelo each had two hits each. Beer has now hit safely in all three of Maryland's games this season.
Junior designated hitter Craig Munroe was named to the ACC-Disney Blast All-Tournament team.
