Women's Soccer Set to Face George Washinghton

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland closes out its regular season as it plays host to local rival George Washington and travels to the Louisiana State Invitational where it will face LSU and Alabama. The Terps are looking to close the regular season on a strong note and reach double figures in victories for a school-record fourth consecutive season. Maryland's game against George Washington marks the final regular season home game for seven seniors.

TERPS' SENIORS TO PLAY FINAL REGULAR SEASON HOME GAME
Seven Maryland seniors will play their final regular season home game against George Washington on Wednesday. Forwards Emmy Harbo (Baton Rouge, La.), Keri Sarver (Massillon, Ohio), midfielders Robin McCullough (Covington, Ga.) and Wendy Baldwin (Olney, Md.) and defenders Abby Bausman (Glen Arm, Md.), Marybeth Egan (Salem, Mass.) and Laura Varela (Aurora, Colo.) will all be honored before the game against the Colonials.

HARBO RETURNS HOME AS TERPS TRAVEL TO LSU
Emmy Harbo returns home this week as Maryland travels to play at the LSU Invitational. It marks the first time during her Maryland career that she has played in her home city, much less her home state. Harbo is Maryland's second all-time leader in goals, assists and total points.

SARVER, HARBO CONTINUE TO RANK AMONG ACC'S TOP 10
Keri Sarver and Emmy Harbo continue to rank among the top 10 scorers in ACC history. Sarver needs only three points to pass former NC State All-American Charmaine Hooper and move into seventh place all-time in league annals. Harbo is ranked 10th in ACC history.

SARVER COULD JOIN 50/40 CLUB
Senior Keri Sarver, who has 55 career goals and 33 career assists, could become only the 15th player in NCAA history to score at least 50 career goals and earn at least 40 career assists. Each of the 14 players who have achieved the 50/40 club have earned All-American honors.

WOLFF RECORDS SEASON-HIGH 12 SAVES AGAINST NO. 1 UNC
Sophomore goalkeeper Ali Wolff (Richmond, Va.) recorded a season-high 12 saves against No. 1 North Carolina. Wolff has recorded 19 saves in her last three starts, an average of 6.3 per game. She has recorded 36 saves in eight appearances this season, an average of 4.5 per game. Wolff now has 101 career saves which ranks fourth all-time at Maryland. She is one of only four goalkeepers in Terps' history to record 100 or more career saves.

SERRINS WITH CAREER-HIGH 13 SAVES AGAINST WAKE FOREST
Sophomore goalkeeper Riki-Ann Serrins (Mission Viejo, Calif.) recorded a career-high 13 saves against No. 14 Wake Forest. It marked the second time during her career that she had recorded double-figures in saves; she recorded 10 in a 1997 victory over No. 19 Dartmouth. Serrins, who has a personal record of 7-2-1 as a starter this season, has been credited with a single-season career-high 42 saves. She ranks fifth all-time in school history with 81 career saves.

BEIRNE, KLOTZ IN STARTING LINEUP
Freshman Courtney Beirne (Westminster, Md.) and Carrie Klotz (Homer, N.Y.) were both in the Terps' starting lineup against North Carolina and Wake Forest. It marked the third consecutive game that the two newcomers earned starting roles in important ACC matches.

SARVER RETURNS TO LINEUP
Senior forward Keri Sarver returned to Maryland's lineup against No. 14 Wake Forest for the first time since injuring her shoulder against No. 4 Connecticut on Oct. 11. The Terps' all-time leading scorer missed three games while injured. She was ranked first in the ACC and sixth in the nation in points per game last week.

LIEBERMAN EARNS PLAYING TIME
Freshman Debbie Lieberman (Commack, N.Y.) earned playing time against both No. 1 North Carolina and No. 14 Wake Forest. It marked the first time this season that she had played in consecutive games during her career. She has now played in five games this season.

SERRINS GAINS FIRST CAREER POINT
Sophomore goalkeeper Riki-Ann Serrins was credited with her first career point against No. 14 Wake Forest. Serrins earned an assist in Maryland's second goal of the game by junior midfielder Emily Janss (Brandon, Fla.). Serrins becomes only the second goalkeeper in school history to earn an offensive point. Last season, Ali Wolff scored a goal against No. 4 Duke on Oct. 17.

JANSS ADDS TO GOAL TOTAL
Junior midfielder Emily Janss scored her third goal of the season against No. 14 Wake Forest. She has now scored eight career goals and has 16 total points. All three of Janss' goals have come on the road this season and her goal against Texas on Sept. 25 proved to be the game-winner as the Terps defeated the Longhorns, 3-1.

KEYES MARKS RETURN TO FULL HEALTH
Senior defender Tiffany Keyes (Harrisburg, Pa.) marked a return to full health from an early- season knee injury as she played all 116 minutes of Maryland's overtime game against No. 14 Wake Forest. Keyes was injured against Southern California on Sept. 11 and has played in six games this season. She was in the Terps' starting lineup against both No. 1 North Carolina and Wake Forest to mark her first two starts of the 1998 season.

MCCULLOUGH IS ALL-TIME SCHOOL LEADER
Senior midfielder Robin McCullough is the all-time school leader in games played with 91. She is followed by senior forward Emmy Harbo (88) who is tied for second. Senior forward Keri Sarver has played in 87 career games.

MCCULLOUGH SCORES AGAINST WAKE FOREST
Senior midfielder Robin McCullough scored her third goal of the season against No. 14 Wake Forest. She now has 19 career goals which ties her for sixth in Maryland's career record book. She also ranks third in career assists (23) and fifth all-time in career points (61).

SARVER IN THE NATIONAL STATISTICS
Senior forward Keri Sarver ranked sixth in the nation and was the highest ranked ACC player with a 2.85 points per game average in last week's NCAA statistics. Sarver has ranked among the NCAA leaders during the entire season.

Chapel Hill, N.C. -- Second-half goals by sophomore forward Meredith Florance and junior defender Loorie Fair lifted No. 1 North Carolina to a 2-0 victory over Maryland. The Terps put up one of their better defensive performances of the season as they held North Carolina scoreless for the first 64:23 of the match. Goalkeeper Ali Wolff recorded 12 saves.

Winston-Salem, N.C. -- Junior Anne Shropshire scored with just 3:54 remaining in overtime to lead No. 14 Wake Forest to a 3-2 victory over No. 23 Maryland. Shropshire's game-winning goal came in the game's 117th minute. She knocked a rebound into the net from about 10 yards out. Robin McCullough and Emily Janss scored for Maryland.
