COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland senior tri-captains Emily Janss (Brandon, Fla.) and Jackie Mynarski (Somers, N.Y.) were named to the 1999 Maryland/FILA All-Tournament team.
Baylor, which captured the title had four players named to the team led by the Tourmanent Offensive MVP Nikki Hales. She scored three goals and added an assist in two games.
The defensive MVP was Penn's Deane Kocivar-Norbury.
Baylor's other all-tournament team members were Courtney Saunders (two goals and two assists in the tournament), Juli Goin (goal and assist) and Dawn Greathouse (two wins). Penn also placed Shannon Porter (one goal), Annie Callaghan (one goal) and Kellianne Toland (one assist) on the team. Pittsburgh's two selections were Keeley Tobler and Megan Beasley.
Baylor captured the title by virtue of a 4-0 win over Maryland and a 3-1 win over Pittsburgh.
