
Terrill Looks For A Sweep At Maryland Invitational

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Junior Chrissie Terrill (Plano, Tex.) coasted through the opening rounds of the Maryland Invitational in B singles and A doubles to remain on pace for a title sweep Sunday morning. In the A Flight bracket, teammates Jessyca Arthur and Carlijn Buis of William & Mary will compete for the championship.
Terrill defeated William & Mary's Elizabeth O in the semifinals by a score of 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 to gain a berth into the finals. She will also team with junior Stacy Walkowitz (Coral Springs, Fla.) in the top doubles division for the title against a team from William & Mary.
Another Maryland duo, transfer Catherine Valantin (Paris, France) and Bridget Brunner (Richmond, Va.), are still alive in the second doubles division and will also play a team from William & Mary.
The tournament, which also includes teams from Syracuse, Marshall, West Virginia, George Mason, American and George Washington, concludes Sunday with the final round beginning at 9 a.m. on the Cole Field House tennis courts.
