* Maryland's 64-40 win was the 26th all-time for Maryland against Howard, out of 27 meetings.

* The Terrapins held the Lady Bison to 40 points, the lowest output by a Maryland opponent since Dec. 10, 1996 vs. Loyola. Maryland came away with a 63-36 road-win that day.

* Freshmen Kiki Wimbush and Sarah Jenkins, and junior transfer Jamecca Harrell all saw their first college action Saturday against Howard. Wimbush drew her first collegiate start, while Harrell was one of four Terps in double figures, ending the night with 12. Jenkins played 13 minutes off the bench, dishing an assist and grabbing a rebound for the Terps.

* The last time Maryland held an opponent to under .300 percent shooting was on Jan. 6, 2000, against Clemson. That night, the Tigers were held to .284 percent shooting (19-67) at Littlejohn Colesium. Saturday night, Howard finished at 28.8 percent (19-66).

* Junior Deedee Warley recorded her fifth career double-double against Howard Saturday. She scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to led the Terps in both categories.
