Gary Williams, Maryland
"Coming back into league after Sunday, we felt that it was imperative that we win this game, especially with two road games coming up. I though our guys did a great job. Some guys came off the bench--Drew Nicholas, LaRon Cephas, Tahj Holden--and did a terrific job. That's a good sign this time of year."
"Juan [Dixon] works so hard when he's on the court ... he can shoot the ball when he gets his looks and he's doing a really good job of getting open and our guys are really looking for him at the right times."
"Steve Blake continues to play solid. Tonight he had only two turnovers and that's an important thing--taking care of the ball and getting us into the offense."
"It was a big night for Lonny Baxter with 12 rebounds against that front line. I think that Lonny proves each time he plays what an oustanding player he can be."
Bobby Cremins, Georgia Tech
"That Dixon is something else. I think Maryland is an excellent basketball team. I think they're well coached, they play great together, they've got great chemistry. Dixon was sensational. They have a lot of pieces. When we came here, I knew their win over Duke would elevate them to another level. I thought they played a very tough, very physical basketball game. We tried to do a couple of different things, we tried to play a little zone and they burned us on that. I really thought we had a chance. We were down 12 at halftime and we needed something good to happen, but we just had trouble running our half-court offense."
