
George Washington Defeats Maryland Baseball Team 3-2

ARLINGTON, VA. - Tony Dokoupil singled home Dan Rouhier in the bottom of the ninth inning, leading George Washington (9-10) to a 3-2 win over Maryland (4-11) in baseball action on Tuesday at Barcroft Field.
After five scoreless innings, Matt Krimmel put George Washington in the lead when he scored on a ground out by Mike Bassett. The Colonials extended the lead to 2-0 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Travis Crowder scored on a throwing error.
In the top of the ninth inning, Chuck Easter led off with a single and Craig Munroe followed with a two-run home run to right field, tying the game at 2-2. It was Munroe's team-leading third home run of the season.
Maryland starting pitcher Mark Martin pitched 5.1 innings, allowing just four hits and striking out three batters. He was relieved in the sixth inning by Jared Stuart.
The Terps host Coppin State on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
