Former Terp Sarver Scores Twice To Lead Maryland Pride In Season Opener

ROCKVILLE, Md. - Former Terrapin and all-time leading scorer Keri Sarver notched two goals to help the Maryland Pepsi Pride rebound from a three-goal deficit to earn a 3-3 draw against the Raleigh Wings in both team's season opener of the 2000 W-League season.

In the second half, 2000 Maryland graduate Emily Janss sent a pass to Jamie Ricker, who connected for the Pride's first score in the 66th minute.

Sarver then scored twice within six minutes to even the game in both the 79th and 80th minute.

Maryland returns to action on May 12 with a road game against the Boston Renegades, then they return to Washington for a showdown with the Delaware Genies on May 13 in RFK Stadium in the first game of a doubleheader with the DC United.
