(on Brian Billick's pregame address to the Terrapins)
"I'd like to thank Brian Billick and his assistant coaches for coming down tonight. They talked to our team at about six o'clock. I was just glad to hear him talk -- I wanted to hear what he had to say. He was really good and said some good things. You could tell he really follows our team, and I think he got the players' attention, which was good ... It wasn't the Super Bowl coach speaking, it was a guy who really follows our program, and wants us to do well not just tonight but for the rest of the season."

"We had 26 assists tonight and nine turnovers. That's a tremendous ratio. We're leading the ACC in assists, and when we pass the ball we're a good team."
(on the play of Juan Dixon)
"Tonight Juan was obviously hot and he was really quick out there, playing with his legs. At this time of year that's really good to see from Juan."
(on the play of Steve Blake)
"Steve Blake has really done a good job these last two games at the point guard position. He looks very comfortable out there, which is great to see. He's playing a lot of minutes but he's in the kind of shape now where he can ... If you do have a point guard that will take the shot when he's open, that really helps your offense ... Steve's really contributing as he usually does running the team, but the shots are a bonus and makes us tougher to cover."

"Our bench continues to contribute in a positive way, where you're not afraid to put somebody in the game whatever the situation is. It's just a good team feeling right now, and we want to continue that into our next game."

"I thought they were exceptional against Wake and the word struggle is very misleading in our league. You can play very well, like Maryland did against Duke, and still not come away with a win. It is easy for somebody from the outside to say to say someone is struggling ... Maryland is a great basketball team and they displayed it tonight."
