Maryland is in its first ever Final Four ... the Terps are 26- 17 in 18 NCAA appearances.

The Terps have won four in a row and 10 of their last 11 games ... in those 11 games, nine players are averaging four points-or-more per contest ... statistics over that 11-game stretch are as follows:

Thursday's win over second-ranked Stanford marked Maryland's eighth win over a ranked opponent this season, a new school record ... the Terps have beaten seven of their last eight ranked opponents, including three Top 10 foes.

Head Coach Gary Williams is ninth on the ACC all-time win list with 242 victories ... is one win shy of tying Bud Millikan as the second-winningest coach in school history ... Williams is also one victory from earning the 450th win of his 23-year coaching career.

Led by sophomore PG Steve Blake, Maryland has five players averaging over two assists per game ... Blake leads the ACC in assists (6.9) and is bidding to become the first Terp since John Lucas in 1974 to lead the ACC in assists.

The Terps have won at least 25 games in three consecutive seasons and 20 or more games five straight years.

The Terps have had a double-figure scorer from off the bench in each of their last three NCAA Tournament wins ... Maryland's bench has combined to score more than 30 points on 10 occasions this year, and more than 20 points in 25 games ... Terp reserves are averaging 24.1 points per game in 2000-01, as compared to a 12.0 per game average a year ago.

Terence Morris is second on the Terps' career chart for blocked shots, and 10th on the ACC's with 256 career rejections.

Juan Dixon is third on the Maryland career chart for steals, and tied with Tech's Mark Price for 10th in ACC history with 240 steals.
