Men's Golf Finishes Ninth At ACC Championships

ORLANDO - Sophomore John Moheyer (Lima, Ohio) shot a third-round 72 to finish tied for 22nd place individually, as the Maryland men's golf team (312-295-293 900) finished ninth as a team at the ACC Championships on Sunday.
Georgia Tech (280-285-280 845) won the team competition, finishing at -19 at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course. Next was Clemson (284-284-285 853) and Wake Forest (281-283-290 854). Clemson's John Engler (66-70-67 203) finished first individually at -13.
Moheyer (76-72-72 220) finished at +4 to lead the Terps at the tournament, finishing in a tie for 22nd place. Junior Corey Brigham (Rumson, N.J.) finished just a stroke back of his teammate, claiming a share of 29th place overall.
The tournament concludes the Terps' 2001 spring golf season.
