As Major League Lacrosse hits the home stretch and enters its final week of regular-season action, here's an update of former Terps in the league.
Baltimore Bayhawks (9-4)
Kip Fulks had a huge day scoring three goals on former Maryland roommate Brian Dougherty of the Rochester Rattlers last Saturday. For the season Fulks has played and started in all 13 games, recording 10 shots and one assist for 11 points on 37 shots. Defenseman Brian Reese was named to the MLL All-Pro second team this week. Reese has played in all 13 games, starting 10. He has one goal and has scooped up 23 groundballs. Two-time All-America Dave LaChapelle made his Baltimore debut on Aug. 11 and has played in one game.
Boston Cannons (2-11)
MLL all-star Dan Radeabugh has been one of the league's top defenders and is a candidate for the MLL Iron Lizard Award. The award was developed to recognize the professional lacrosse player who most embodied the traits of toughness, tenacity and determination. Overall, Radebaugh has played in 12 games and started 10. He has two assists and 24 groundballs.
Bridgeport Barrage (3-10)
Attacker/midfielder Scott Hochstadt has played in seven games recording three goals and one assist for four points. Face-off specialist Brian Haggerty played in three games, starting two earlier this season with the Barrage. He won 20 of 45 draws (44 percent) and grabbed four groundballs. 2001 All-American Pat McGinnis has played one game, posting 26 saves in a 17-16 to Long Island on June 29.
New Jersey Pride (8-5)
Defenseman Jason Carrier has played in all 13 games, drawing five starts. He has four groundballs. Midfielder Chris Malone has also played one game with the Pride.
Rochester Rattlers (8-5)
The Rattlers are backstopped by second team All-Pro selection Brian Dougherty, who is among league leaders in wins (8), save percentage (.553), saves (340) and goals against average (11.53). Defenseman Casey Connor has drawn more time, starting three games and playing in 10 overall. He has scooped up 14 groundballs. Attacker Andrew Whipple has played in three games, scoring three goals and adding two assists for five points.
