NEW YORK - Sophomore back Lindsay Givens was named to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week after the first week of college soccer action (Aug. 31-Sept. 3). Givens is one of ten players honored as part of the online magazine's inaugural weekly honors.

Givens led the Maryland defense in two shutouts including upset of Duke, ranked No. 20 in last week's Soccer Buzz poll. The sophomore back also scored her first career goal in win over Towson on Aug. 31.
