COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Following are student ticket distribution regulations for the Maryland-Virginia men's basketball game in Cole Field House March 3:
GENERAL REGULATIONS
1. Student will be permitted to enter Byrd Stadium via the South Gate at 7:00 PM ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 28th.
2. Students are NOT permitted to line up or camp out at or around Byrd Stadium prior to 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 28th. UMCP Police officers will diligently enforce this regulation.
3. Upon entering the line, each student will receive a colored wristband to determine the order in which you will receive your ticket(s). Informational fliers will also be provided.
4. No saving places in line, and no pushing or cutting in line (violators will be denied entry to Byrd for the distribution of tickets by UMCP Police and CSC Staff).
REGULATIONS INSIDE BYRD STADIUM
1. Student tickets will be distributed at 7:30 AM ON SATURDAY, MARCH 2nd.
2. Each student is eligible to pick up two (2) student tickets by presenting his/her wristband and two (2) valid UMCP IDs (your own and one other).
3. All student tickets will be for reserved seats. (This is necessary to ensure that loyal student fans who wait in line for tickets are admitted to the game, since counterfeit tickets were used at the Duke game.)
4. No saving places in line, and no pushing or cutting in line (violators will have their wristbands cut and be removed from Byrd Stadium prior to the distribution of tickets).
5. Tents and sleeping bags are permitted in Byrd Stadium. Alcohol is prohibited.
6. Restrooms will remain open and concession stands will be open at various times for your convenience. (The Athletics Department is waiving its customary share of concessions sales to make food and drink more affordable for students.)
