Maryland Takes Day Off At Rainy USF-Holiday Inn Tournament

The Maryland softball team (6-5) faced its second straight rain-drenched day Saturday at the USF-Holiday Inn Tournament in Tampa. The squad's game against Coastal Carolina, scheduled for 2 p.m. today, was cancelled due to the inclement weather. If the weather decides to cooperate, the team will play one game on Sunday against an opponent to be announced.
Maryland is 1-0 at the USF-Holiday Inn Tournament after capturing a 7-2 victory over Seton Hall Friday afternoon. That game was the only one played in the tournament thus far.
