GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Atlantic Coast Conference 50th Anniversary Gymnastics Team was announced today by Commissioner John Swofford. The four-member team was selected based on the only season that gymnastics was recognized as a league sport. It was a discontinued after the 1984 ACC Championship. The four member team was determined using the results from the 1984 ACC Championship and includes the individual champions as decided by the league's 50th Anniversary Committee.

Michele Ritenhour was ACC Champion on the vault in 1983. She competed for the Terps during the 1983 and 1984 seasons. Robin Swick was a member of the Terps squad from 1984 to 1987. She was a two-time ACC Champion, winning the floor and the all-around.

Maryland and NC State each placed two members on the Golden Anniversary team.
