COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Despite 23 points from Renneika Razor (New York, N.Y.) and 22 from Delvona Oliver (Euclid, Ohio), Maryland ended up on the short end of a 70-59 decision Thursday night to Clemson. The Tigers raise their record to 10-4 (2-1 ACC) while the Terps drop to 7-7 (1-2 ACC) before hitting the road to meet Wake Forest Sunday.

The Terrapins weathered 0-10 shooting from beyond the arc in the first half and, led by 12 points from Oliver, entered the break trailing by eight points, 32-24. Paced by 12 points from Chrissy Floyd and 13 bench points in the opening half, Clemson pulled ahead for its first lead of the game at the 2:13 plateau, a lead it would never relinquish.

Maryland's shooting woes continued in the second half, as the Terps went 14-40 from the field. Clemson led by as much as 11 and left College Park with the 70-59 win, dashing the Terps' hopes of establishing a winning ACC record three games into the conference season.

Oliver posted the first 20-point game of her career, with Razor reaching the 20-plus plateau for the fifth time this season.

Floyd led Clemson with 20 points, and pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.

The Terrapins travel to Wake Forest on Sunday to meet the Demon Deacons at 2 p.m. That game will be played in the Lawrence Joel Coliseum Annex. Clemson will return to action next Thursday, Jan. 16, when it plays host to North Carolina.
